KANNA, whose scientific named is Sceletium Tortuosum, is a medicinal plant that has been used for over a thousand years by the people of Southern Africa for stress, pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, and to increase energy and stamina. 

Modern research has backed its efficacy in these uses and demonstrated even more applications.

Kanna provides a calm, steady energy throughout the day, but it is not a stimulant. It works on stress regulation to free up energy and enhance cognitive function.  It pairs wonderfully with CBD or CBG and is generally taken in the morning.

Kanna is naturally abundant in the alkaloids used in pharmaceutical anti-depressants. Research indicates it is involved in regulating serotonin reuptake inhibition, which is key to modulating anxiety and depression and regulating emotion.

Kanna also breaks the inflammation cycles involved in chronic conditions, including chronic pain as well as emotional reactivity.  Taking Kanna along with CBD and CBG will increase its anti-inflammatory effect.  

Taken in larger doses, Kanna hits the 'reset' button of the central nervous system.  In micro-doses, on a daily basis, Kanna works more gradually. 

Traditionally, Kanna was fermented prior to consumption or chewed on for hours. Most Kanna products on the market are simply powdered plant material, which is not very bioavailable. Our Kanna goes through two forms of extraction. This makes for a bioavailable Kanna with a different chemical composition than pure plant material.
